Kat Costa, BA Clinician | Reiki Level II Practitioner | Certified Sound Therapist

Kat Costa is a clinician with over 11 years of experience supporting individuals in addiction recovery and behavioral health. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UMASS Dartmouth, an Addiction Counselor Certificate in Massachusetts, and is currently working toward her Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor LADC credential.

Kat brings a compassionate and grounded approach to her work, helping individuals navigate substance use recovery, emotional challenges, and meaningful life change. Kat believes healing happens when people feel safe, supported, and understood. Her work focuses on helping clients develop self-awareness, build healthy coping strategies, and reconnect with their sense of purpose and personal strength.

She has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic groups and working with individuals at different stages of the recovery process. In addition to traditional counseling, Kat integrates holistic practices that support emotional and nervous system regulation. She is a Reiki Level II practitioner and certified sound therapist who facilitates sound bowl sessions designed to promote relaxation, reflection, and inner balance.

Kat also incorporates creative approaches such as art based therapeutic practices to encourage expression and deeper self exploration. Kat views recovery as more than overcoming addiction. She believes it is a process of rediscovering identity, restoring balance, and creating a life that feels authentic, connected, and fulfilling.

Outside of her professional work, Kat enjoys spending time in nature, practicing Pilates, gardening, and reading. She is also actively involved with Cub Scouts as a den mother alongside her 9 year old son.
